We don't just work in your community, we're a part of it!
We're your neighbors. We live in the Greater Augusta area and share and understand your concerns.
A truly successful law practice doesn't just serve its clients, it also serves its community. Our attorneys are involved in just about every community activity you can think of. We've coached baseball, soccer, softball, basketball and other sports teams; served on the boards of dozens of charitable organizations all over the state; provided tens of thousands of dollars in financial support for charities; and provided thousands of hours of pro bono legal services to countless worthy causes.
Our attorneys' community work has not gone unnoticed - the firm received the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce's prestigious President's Award and our attorneys have received dozens of awards for community service and assistance from organizations around the state.
And in the legal community our attorneys have served and led commissions and boards around the state in a wide range of legal areas. Several attorneys at Lipman & Katz had served with distinction as presidents of the Maine Trial Lawyer's Association, the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Kennebec County Bar Association, just to name a few. We don't just sit on boards, commissions and groups and let others do the work either - we lead them and tirelessly strive to help them accomplish their mission and make them more effective.
