Roger Katz has maintained a busy trial practice since 1977. A former President of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, Mr. Katz has also served as one of Maine's two Governors to the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Roger co-created and appears regularly on “Looking At The Law”, a cable television program covering a significant portion of the state of Maine.
Mr. Katz's practice includes plantiff's personal injury representation, divorce and family law, and criminal defense. In addition, Mr. Katz represents professionals before various State licensing boards.
Mr. Katz spends considerable time in service to his community. Mr. Katz was elected to serve as the Mayor of the City of Augusta in November of 2006. A past campaign chair for United Way, he also has served as president on the Kennebec Valley YMCA, co-chair of the Augusta Bicentennial Celebration, chair of the Augusta Charter Commission, chair of the Augusta Development Commission, member of the Board of the State of Maine Music Theater, and co-chair of Team Cony which raised money for Augusta’s new high school. In 2004, Katz was honored by the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce as “Business Person of the Year” and received the “Citizen of the Year” award for community service from Le Club Calumet.

Admitted to the bar in 1975, Maine and Massachusetts.

Member: Kennebec County, Maine State and American Bar Associations; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America (Member, Board of Governors, 1994-1998); Maine Trial Lawyers Association (Chairman, Legislative Committee, 1983; Treasurer, 1986-1988; President Elect, 1988-1989; President, 1990-1992).
